SPIRITUALITY VS SENSUALITY...

The Ashtavakra Gita starts with this advise " If you aspire for liberation my child, shun the objects of the senses as poison "

Sometimes I put it to the test and see if there can be a balance, but the battle is a losing proposition and I realize that Ashtavakra was right at least in my case... as a Tibetan Buddhist saying goes:

“What is more important: satisfying one thousand desires or conquering just one?”

Had the honor today to roll with master Ryron Gracie... couldn't even move him, great pressure, calmness, control and the ability to read any move before it is executed. Also great 5 hour master class: " Gi choke mastery" and "street self-defense".

Remembering the past: 25 years ago when Anjani was young and pretty... Paris, Barcelona, Hollywood.

Remembering the Past: It was about 9 years ago, that I was considering becoming a Taoist Nun at the Purple Cloud Wudang mountain monastery in China... I even sended an application... I also considered being a Buddhist Nun in Tibet, or Saddhu in India... wondering how it all have turned out if I had taken that final step... ( Here pictured with my Tai Chi Master, Taoist monk from Wudang, Zhong Xue Chao )

JUST ANOTHER POEM...

I stopped believing in miracles the day a baby Hummingbird died in my hand,

nothing I could do to save his precious life...

It was a reminder of the passing nature of body-mind.

What is Important ?

To "be this'' , to "become that"...

Ja! I can only pretend and play the game of life:

To grab with fingers, to laugh and cry,

to walk here and there or maybe drive...

to say "Hi" to passing shadows, dance in the corner of a dark room,

leave an open book to read another day and sleep to escape into a dream, watching from above the empty space.
