anjani siddhartha medals

ZEN: ‘The art of winning without fighting.’ even being injured and unable to train for a few weeks I entered the BJJ tour California competition today, the Gold medal god's smile upon me and I was alone in my weight/age class. : )
It is been around a year since starting my journey in Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
and it is been a wonderful journey of self-discovery, meeting the best ones in the sport, specially Master Rickson Gracie, and many more wonderful people.
With my prior experience in Tai chi, Shaolin and Wrestling ( I was a State Champ back in Colombia over 30 years ago ! ) I have been doing better than expected , but it is not just about winning or losing over an opponent, but being in the HERE-NOW and achieving a state of No-Mind, mushin no shin, as the Japanese Zen masters called. That is my real purpose.

“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.” OSHO
